
There have been several
of you that have throughout the years requested general
information concerning the camp, the child capacity, what to
bring, etc. In order to help you and keep you better
informed, we have added this page for your convenience.
About Camp
Maywood Christian Camp is limited to about 250 campers each
session. Youngsters desiring to spend two weeks at the
camp should make early applications. 1st Come, 1st Served.
All weeks are available to campers of all ages and locations.
Camp will close Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. All campers
MUST be gone by 9:00 a.m. Maywood Christian Camp does
not discriminate upon the basis of sex, race, color, religion,
national origin, or handicapping condition.
Cost
Pre-registration fee will be $20.00 per week for each child in
the family. Total camp fee is $105.00 per week. This
fee will include EVERYTHING that the camper will need at camp
such as: food, crafts, canteen, insurance, etc.
Campers may wish to bring extra money to buy a Maywood Shirt,
Cap, or a souvenir from the camp store.
What to Bring
Each camper should bring a Bible, sheets (or sleeping bag), a
pillow, towels, blanket, toilet articles, swimsuit, flashlight,
and any other special equipment such as: ball gloves, camera,
etc. Do not
bring electronic devices such as stereos, ipods, cell phones,
televisions, video games, ect. No tobacco
of any kind is allowed on the campground.
Dress Code
If shorts are allowed, only knee length shorts are permitted at
Maywood Christian Camp.
This is what is meant by
knee length: No bicycle shorts, net tops or low cut
blouses are allowed. Modest apparel is expected of all
campers. Parents, please do not send clothing items that
are not within these guidelines. Campers will get dirty!!!
Please keep this in mind when packing for camp. Be sure to
mark all personal items possible.
Special Rate for Staff
The Board of Trustees feel that personnel who work as staff
should receive the following rates for their children:
When at least parent is a staff member, their child / children may attend
at the reduced rate of $50.00 per child. One parent, one
child at $50.00.
Ages
The camp permits campers ages 8 - 18. Children of staff
members are sometimes allowed at a younger age. Contact
the Director of the week you want your child to come if your
child is younger than 8.
Camp Supervision
A select group of teachers and counselors under the direction of
capable directors will supervise the activities. In
addition to a camp director, the staff includes a nurse,
dietician, qualified lifeguards, crafts and athletic directors,
and such special personnel as may be deemed necessary to
maintain healthful, enjoyable, and spiritual conditions at all
times.

It is good for campers to receive mail from home. Address
camper's letters to:

Note to Visitors
We enjoy having visitors on the campgrounds. All visitors
are requested to check in at the Directors Hut on their arrival.
Visitors to the camp are expected to follow camp rules and
schedules. Please note our dress code and no tobacco
rules. No visitors will be permitted on the campground
after 10:00 p.m. without permission from the Director.
